Curling

Slide your “stone” towards the “house” and get your “sweepers” ready for this exciting event on ice. Here, teams are awarded for patience, precision and style. With coaches assigned to teams of 3 - 6 people, guests learn the finer techniques and scoring of traditional curling. Once everyone has the basics, the competition is on!

Your time would not be complete without a visit to historic Main Street. Here you can stay and explore on your own or head back to the resort.

NOTE: Do not participate if you are pregnant.

Electric Mountain Biking

Join us for an epic guided 10 - 14 mile mountain bike tour. Departing from the Homestead Resort, we will navigate 2 miles of paved roads through the beautiful streets of Midway, Utah to the Dutch Hollow trailhead where we hit the dirt and guide you through miles of fun trails. Guides will cater the ride to the group's riding ability making the necessary stops along the way.

 

Distance from Montage Deer Valley: 30 minutes

 

Duration: 3.5 hours

 

Recommended Attire:  Layers, tennis shoes, jackets, sunglasses

Horseback Riding,  Nordic Yurt Lunch and Biathlon Air Rifle Experience

Step back in time and re-live the old western days on a scenic horseback ride at historic Soldier Hollow Valley, the venue of the 2002 Winter Olympics Nordic Biathlon. Wranglers and horses will take you on a ride you’ll never forget, where you will enjoy views of the Wasatch Mountains and Deer Creek Reservoir. You will also have the opportunity to learn about biathlon racing and shoot air rifles in the same place as the Olympic athletes in 2002. Then eat a delicious lunch in a private Nordic Yurt.

 

*This activity will require a 15-30 minute leisurely hike or snowshoe to the Nordic Yurt.

Recommended Attire: Dress according to the weather and wear close-toed comfortable shoes and socks.

Jewelry Making and Silversmith Class

The silversmiths will lead you through a 3 hour workshop to make jewelry from scratch with high-end .925 sterling silver and semi-precious stones. You can make a ring, necklace, bracelet, earrings, permanent jewelry or a cufflink.

Mines and Wines

Discover multiple historic sites in the Park City area, while tasting fine wines that have been carefully paired with these stunning locations. At each stop, a guide will educate you on the historic location you are seeing, the wine you are tasting, and why it was selected to pair with the historic site. Paired nibbles are included. Each stop is approximately 20 minutes and you will be outside at each location with the exception of the Park City Historic Museum.

  • The Discovery of Ore in Park City paired with a famous sparkling wine (start of the tour from the hotel)

  • Ontario Mine paired with Chablis with goat cheese gouda

  • Park City Museum, a four station overview of area mining history

  • Mind-boggling Prosperity on Main Street paired with Park City-made Rosé (we roll down Main Street) with organic, roasted chickpeas with Bombay spice

  • Miner’s Hospital paired with a boutique, Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir with raw walnuts

  • Spiro Tunnel paired to a famous French Châteauneuf-du-Pape with beef jerky

  • Olympic Welcome Plaza paired with a 20-Year Tawny Port with Belgian dark chocolate with roasted almonds and dried cherries

 

Note: At each stop you will be standing for about 20 minutes and the total amount of walking throughout the tour is approximately 100 yards.

Skiing at Deer Valley

Skiing Deer Valley is designed to offer an experience tailored to be as unique as each guest! Deer Valley limits the number of skiers on the mountain each day to give you the best possible ski experience. Enjoy the epic groomed trails and excellent powder stashes under blue skies or while it’s dumping outside. The terrain is great for beginners and expert skiers alike. Intermediate and advanced skiers will form groups and be guided by amazing Deer Valley mountain hosts.  The beginner skier group will ski with a seasoned instructor throughout the day. Join us on the mountain for the ski experience of a lifetime!

Monday, April 7th: Begins at 10:15am with the option to return to Montage when desired.

NOTE: Snowboarding is not allowed at Deer Valley so you will have transportation take you to Park City to snowboard.

Utah Olympic Park, Bobsledding
& Time on Main Street

Enjoy a Park City fun filled day! Start your journey with a stop at the Utah Olympic Park where the 2002 Nordic ski jump and bobsledding competitions were held. Head to the top of the bobsled and the Nordic ski jump to see the amazing views and learn more about the 2002 Olympic Games from a knowledgeable guide.

 

Bobsledding will be available for those adventurous souls in the group who want the extra thrill and a chance to create a once in a lifetime memory. High speeds and g-force make this an adrenaline rush like no other. 

 

After the tour and bobsledding you will have time to wander through the interactive visitor center and museum to learn more about the history of skiing and the 2002 Olympic Games.

 

Your time would not be complete without a visit to historic Main Street. Here you can stay and explore on your own or head back to the resort.

 

*Riding the Bobsled is an optional part of this activity and is not recommended if you are pregnant or have serious heart, back or neck issues.​
